In Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Sussex Guild Shop, the price for this workshop includes a lowered tuition fee of £12 per two hour, workshop plus materials. The total for Pewter Cuttlefish Casting Make a Pendant workshop is £12 tuition plus £10 Materials (£22 total).
Make your own pewter pendant, no experience necessary, Fleur will guide you through the process step by step.
Using the traditional pewter cuttlefish casting technique, you will carve your design into a cuttlefish bone. This will then be used as a mould to pour the molten pewter into. Finally, you will clean up your casting and make it into a pendant ready to wear.
You may want to wear old clothes as it can be dusty working with the cuttlefish and pewter. For safety purposes please wear a long sleeve top and no open shoes when pouring the molten pewter.
