The Sussex Guild Event Room
A wide range of Workshops, Exhibitions, Courses, Talks and Lectures are on offer throughout the year in the attractive Event Room, located upstairs in the Sussex Guild Shop, Southover Grange, Lewes.
This facility enables the Guild to fulfil its aim to inspire and encourage public appreciation of fine craftsmanship. We also welcome your ideas and suggestions for Workshops and Lectures that you would like to see offered, so do please get in touch.

Pewter Cuttlefish Casting – Make a Spoon
Design and make your own pewter spoon, using cuttlefish to make a mould, you will learn basic principles of working with this lovely metal as you create your own pewter spoon to take home and use.

Silver Wax Casting – Make a Ring
As a group we will all work on wax carving a number of ring designs ranging from an easy to set project and letting the creative juices flow. One of your designs will be cast and finished in Sterling Silver.

Earthenware Ceramics – Make a Platter
In this workshop you will make a hand decorated platter using red earthenware clay decorated with ceramic slips. Included in the price is firing the platter, application of the shiny glaze and postage to your address when the platter is complete.

Location
If you would like to visit us in person, the Event Room is located in Southover Grange in Lewes. On-street parking can be found around Southover Grange and there are various other car parks in Lewes. We are only a few minutes level walk from lewes train station too.
