In Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Sussex Guild Shop, the price for this workshop includes a lowered tuition fee of £12 per two hour workshop plus materials. The total for Introduction to Freehand Machine Embroidery is £12 tuition plus £10 Materials (£22 total)
This workshop will introduce you to the exciting technique of Freehand Machine Embroidery.
Any basic domestic sewing machine can be used for freehand machine embroidery and on this taster session you will be shown how to ‘draw’ with your machine. After being shown the technique, you will practice creating patterns and shapes, and then create a small seascape picture. Wendy will be provide a painted background, which you will then stitch into, applying fabrics as you develop your design.
Sewing Machines will be available, but you may wish to bring your own.
All materials will be provided and no experience is necessary.
