Louise’s work is designed and made using skills acquired through an academic study of art and design and technical training alongside the extensive experience gained through a tradition of making.
After A Levels, an Art Foundation course at Eastbourne was followed by her Degree in Art, Theatre and English at the University College of St John, York.
Louise has continued to refine her skills taking courses in Traditional Patchwork, Corsetry, Felt making and The Open College of The Arts, Textiles.
Inspired by historical costume and style through the ages with a nod to the classics of haute couture, Louise’s love of colour, drama and texture is evident in all her work.
