Kate specialises in raku and stoneware firing. Her range of work includes boxes, tapered vessels, jugs and wall vases. Her pieces are often shown in groupings or small collections, combined with wood, slate or stone.
Kate is a Professional Member of the Craft Potters Association and works to commission for private collectors, designers and curators. She runs one to one bespoke courses from her studio in West Kent.
Raku firing breathes a new life into the pieces. Crackles work differently over each form, finding their unique pathway to delineate the surface of a sphere, box, cylinder or jug. The distinctive crazing is truly unique.
