One of three bowls inspired by textures found in weaving and fishing industries of Isle of Harris.
Design created with powdered and sheet glass with numerous kiln firings. Initially this was flat glass set on a ceramic ring. It is slowly heated to allow the centre to sag forming this final shape, followed by careful cold working. They don’t all made to finished pieces see clip for one that ‘got away’
Please note that I have sandblasted this piece since the photo was taken to give more of a ‘sea glass’ finish
