Description
This ceramic seahorse is made from white clay pressed into a plaster mould much like a tile. I then make marks in the clay to give each seahorse a unique character. These marks are enhanced by colourful transparent glazes. The seahorse has decorative wire additions and also a wire loop fired into the clay so it can be hung on the wall from a nail.
The seahorse’s main body measures approximately 20 x 12cm with the wire additions adding a bit extra to this.
They are handmade so each one will have variations in markings and colours compared with the photograph but will be as close as I can manage.
This seahorse will not survive a cold winter outside
