Meet Anna Cates woodturner. Anna graduated from the University of Brighton in 2004 with a BA Hons and was recognised with an award for “Outstanding Artistic Achievement”.

Anna says: “woodturning is immensely satisfying and fun! The shavings fly as a form begins to take shape, from a rough chunk of freshly felled wood or a carefully prepared laminated woodturning blank”.

She feels incredibly lucky to get such enjoyment out of her work and loves to talk about her passion for wood and woodturning, always enjoying the chance to meet and speak with visitors at Guild shows.

Anna Cates will be showing her exquisite woodturning at the Guild Contemporary Craft Show in Midhurst on 30th  November and 1st December.
