Wolfram Lohr came to England from Germany to learn shoemaking from a German shoemaker in Brighton named Ghita Schuy. He then started to produce his own range with Ghita and self taught. He then worked as an apprentice for Paul Harden shoemakers in Brighton for a year which added to his experience.
